Personal Information

About Me
I grew up in an old farmhouse and I've always lived in old homes. My degree is in Interior Design, and I worked for 15 years in the design trades - everything from commercial retail and hospitality to custom historic residential restoration. My career taught me to appreciate the beauty of modern design, and I really do - I'm just more comfortable in vintage surroundings. My husband and I have been painstakingly restoring our c. 1880 row house in the Pullman Historic District of Chicago since 1992. I homeschool my kids, and I'm helping to establish my husband's custom wood window business. I am privileged to serve as a volunteer member of the Beman Committee of the Pullman Civic Organization, and I've served as a docent for the Pullman State Historic Site since 2008. I'm co-chair for the Pullman Youth Group, and a founding member of our new community garden. I take great pride in introducing people to the novelty of life in Pullman - yesterday, today and tomorrow.
